Set The Table: Skillet & Cookoff is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5 at the Community Room, 500 Welch Court.
The event is sponsored by Katy Trail Community Health, Open Door Service Center, MU Extension, the Pettis County WIC office, Sedalia Area Farmer’s Market and the Sedalia Housing Authority.
Set The Table starts at 5:30 and is expected to last until 7:30 p.m.
Participants will leave the event with new knowledge about the importance of eating local produce, ideas for cooking nutritious healthy meals with food that is currently available through local food pantries and farmer’s markets.
There will be some giveaways during the event.
