Two Sedalia women were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2007 Acura, driven by 35-year-old Lisa L. Morris of Sedalia, was on US 50, one-half mile west of Route D around 5:25 p.m., when she overtook and struck the rear of an eastbound 2015 Dodge, driven by 40-year-old Caroline E. Newbill of Sedalia.

Morris suffered minor injuries, and was treated on scene.

Newbill suffered moderate injuries and was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
