Two Arrested After Authorities Discover Meth, Marijuana, and Stolen Gun
Authorities in Moniteau County made two arrests on June 28 after responding to a disturbance at a residence in McGirk.
The Moniteau County Sheirff's Office says deputies made contact with a woman sitting in a vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and reportedly discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
Deputies then made contact with a man and received consent to search the residence, where they also reportedly found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm that had been reported stolen out of Benton County.
26-year-old John D. Mansfield of McGirk was arrested on charges including possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 23-year-old Jamie N. Earnheart of McGirk was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Mansfield and Earnheart were transported to the Moniteau County Jail.
