Top Dog Names in 2018
When it comes to naming a pet, there are a few ways to go. You can stick with the classics. You can go pick something funny. You can name the pet after a famous person. The list is out for this year's most popular dog names, and to be honest, I was kind of surprised that some of these made the Top 10. According to MyDogsName.com, these are the most common names for dogs in 2018:
Top Male Dog Names
- Bear
- Axel
- Milo
- Charlie
- Biscuit
- Bailey
- Archie
- Buddy
- Duke
- Tiger
Top Female Dog Names
- Bella
- Abby
- Daisy
- Luna
- Bailey
- Willow
- Coco
- Roxy
- Bambi
- Lola
We have a cat named Lola (and I have an niece named Luna), but other than that, none of the "common" names are currently being used by pets (or people) in my family. Once we almost named a dog Biscuit, but decided to go with something else.
MyDogsName.com says in a news release that there was one big surprise when they made the 2018 list: "Max is no longer in the top 10 for the first time since the site started in 2013. It was down to number 27 on the list of male dogs named in 2018."
