While browsing through movies available for streaming this weekend, I found a major motion picture that asks the question "what if Tom Sawyer had gold in Missouri and hid it"?
The Quest for Tom Sawyer's Gold is a new movie that's only been out on streaming services for about 3 months and it stars some major actors and actresses including Joey Lauren Adams who starred opposite of Adam Sandler in Big Daddy. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for Best Actress.
The synopsis for The Quest for Tom Sawyer's Gold is this brief storyline on IMDb:
A risk-averse English teacher is forced to face her greatest fears when several of her students venture alone into the southern wilderness in search of Tom Sawyer's long lost gold.
The trailer shows that the clues were apparently hidden by Mark Twain/Tom Sawyer in Hannibal.
That sets the teacher and students off on a quest through locations including caves that has a definite National Treasure vibe to it.
