The Original Bass Pro Shop Is In Missouri? Yes Its True! Where?
If my approximately 6 years of living in Missouri have taught me anything, is that there is a lot of activities to do outdoors. Fishing, hunting, camping, boating, nature, etc. If you need any gear to prepare for all of this, you probably have shopped at a Bass Pro Shops or have heard of them. What I didn't know was that the original one calls Missouri it's home. This location in Springfield Missouri is really a sight to see.
Now how big is this location? About half a million square feet. My goodness that is big. More than 4 million people visit this location every year. Some come to see all of the features it has, some come to shop, some probably do both. You do not have to be an outdoorsy kind of person to check this place out, as you can get shoes, clothing, home decorations and around Christmas time you can visit Santa!
Now with a location this size, you might get tired walking around and perhaps feel hungry. This location has a Hemingway's Blue Water Cafe were you can grab dinner. If you love seafood, you will be pleased.
If any of you like going to an aquarium, maybe you should take the drive to the flagship location in Springfield because there are 7 aquariums in this store. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will see divers feeding the fish on certain days. That sounds cool to me.
The Archery Hall of Fame & Museum is also at this location. Website link is HERE. You can also find the National Rifle Association Sporting Arms Museum here, as well as the John A. and Genny Morris Conservation Education Center.
A final thing that you should check out here. This is the home of Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium. 35,000 fish can be seen here.
So have any of you been here to this location? Is it everything that it claims to be? If you don't make it to this location, there are one's in Columbia and Independence or shop online HERE.
