It's Valentine's Day, and we all know what that means. #CandyHeartsRejects is trending on Twitter, again. At this point it's basically a Valentine's tradition, like buying chocolates or getting into a blackout fight.

UCM alumnus and San Francisco 49ers tight end Delaine Walker's aunt, Alice Young, and uncle Bryan Young were killed around 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, shortly after the Super Bowl, allegedly by a drunk driver according to Walker's Twitter page.

Kids, I was recently on the Twitter and as it is very popular on the Internets' series of tubes, I checked out one of the hot topics.  Normally this sort of thing would go right by me, but I thought we'd see what Sedalians consider to be dealbreakers in friendship.

It’s not clear what exactly happened when Jo Dee Messina and Chris Young came face to face recently, but it definitely left a bad taste in the ‘My Give a Damn’s Busted’ hitmaker’s mouth. Messina took to her Twitter page early Tuesday morning (July 24) to let her 42,000 followers know that she was less than impressed by rising country music star Chris Young.

The country music went world wide in June 2012. Stars tweeted from all over, including during trips to London, Australia and from the audience of the CMT Music Awards in Nashville. They serve drinks at that awards show, which led to more than a few funny tweets. Two of those made the Top Tweets of June 2012 list.

I'm on Facebook (facebook.com/bruceinthemorningshow) and Twitter (@bruceitmorning).  A LOT!  Some might say I'm addicted, but it's part of my job!  That's the excuse I'm going with anyway.

As I look around my various social media sites, I notice that is is easy to fall into the trap of negativity.  Facebook and Twitter seem to be a place that people vent about their problems, feeling ill or negative comments about friends and family.
