Authorities have posted photos of a suspect in an armed robbery case that took place Monday night at Casey's General Store south of Warrensburg.

The Sedalia Police Department is trying to identify the male in this surveillance photo.

Around 3:50 this morning (June 25), the Sedalia police responded to a home in the 700 block of East 9th on a burglary call. The victim said he had been unable to sleep and heard a noise in the back room of the house. When the victim investigated the noise, he found the white male suspect with a firearm hiding in the house.

On Monday, the Justice Department announced that it was charging Dzhokhar Tsarnaev with using a weapon of mass destruction that resulted in the deaths of three people at the Boston Marathon last week. If convicted he could face the death penalty or up to life in prison.

A shooting victim was transported to University of Missouri Hospital after a suspect fired three shots from a handgun at him last night in Sedalia (April 17). The victim was hit once in the pelvic area. Police are currently searching for a known 25-year-old male suspect in connection with the shooting.
