Suspect Sought by Sedalia Police in Connection with Tuesday Night Shooting
A shooting victim was transported to University of Missouri Hospital after a suspect fired three shots from a handgun at him last night in Sedalia (April 17). The victim was hit once in the pelvic area. Police are currently searching for a known 25-year-old male suspect in connection with the shooting.
According to the police report, Sedalia police responded to the Bothwell Hospital Emergency Room just after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night on the report of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, the 30-year-old male victim told officers he was visiting a subject at a house in the 900 block of West Broadway when the suspect came to the home and an argument ensued. The suspect then fired three shots from a handgun at the victim, hitting him once in the pelvic area. The bullet reportedly lodged near the femoral artery of the victim.
The victim was eventually transported to the University of Missouri Hospital for advanced treatment. A known 25-year-old male suspect is still being sought in the shooting. We will update this story when we receive more information on the shooting.
