Storm Possibilities In And Out Through The Weekend

The possibilities of early fall rain/storms are in the forecast through the first weekend of Autumn.

Temperatures for the first week of Fall will be rather pleasant as highs and lows generally range a little above normal for late September. However, there will be a couple chances for storms this week, with our next chance arriving late tonight as a weak cold front sweeps through the region. The front might bring strong to severe storms as they enter extreme northeast Kansas and far northwest Missouri between 10 PM and 2 AM tonight, with the storms fading away after that. Another chance for widespread rain will arrive Friday and persist into the weekend.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 79. South southwest wind around 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
