Major League Baseball has held inter-league match-ups since 1997.  This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the I-70 Series is restored as the St. Louis Cardinals host the Kansas City Royals.

This rivalry really took shape in 1985 when the Kansas City Royals won the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games.  I still recall Governor John Ashcroft wearing a hat to each location that had the Royals’ colors on one side and the Cardinals’ colors on another.  Since inter-league play has started, the St. Louis Cardinals are ahead by 10 wins, with 38 wins for the Cardinals and 28 for the Royals.  Although the Royals won that epic 1985 World Series,  the Cardinals have gone on to win two World Series Championships in 2006 and 2011.

You can listen to the games right here on KSIS.  How do you think this series match-up will go?
