The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that six Missouri residents were killed in fatal accidents across the state from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6.

A 65-year-old Holden man was killed May 6 after he lost control of a 2002 Ford on I-435 in Clay County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. James W. Glyn was pronounced dead at Liberty Hospital.


A fatal accident on May 6 in Miller County claimed the life of an Eldon man. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 36-year-old Timothy R. Mantle was ejected from a 2014 Ford F 150 that overturned around 11 p.m. on MO 242. Mantle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County Coroner.


On May 6 at approximately 10:50 p.m., a 2018 Polaris Razor UTV struck a tree in Howell County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver, 34-year-old Toby R. Stevens of Mountain View, was pronounced dead by the Howell County Coroner. A passenger, 27-year-old Chase G. Foster, suffered serious injuries and was taken by Air Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.


A 43-year-old Bethel resident was killed on May 4 in an accident in Marion County around 1 a.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a pedestrian, Jeffery W. Hutchison, ran into the roadway on US 61 north of Hannibal. Hutchison was struck by a 1999 Peterbuilt tractor trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene.


A May 4 motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Danville woman in Montgomery County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2012 Harley Davidson Dyna Switchback overturned as it pulled into a gas station. The driver, 52-year-old Robin L. Rupp, was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead by the Montgomery County Coroner.


A Salem man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Dent County on May 4. A Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report says that a 1997 Ford F-150 struck a utility pole and overturned. The driver, 57-year-old Nathan D. Coleman, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dent County Coroner.
