Well, Halloween is over. It's cold outside. Christmas is ages away. I bet your kids feel like there will never be anything fun again. WRONG! There are a ton of fun things going on this weekend that you and the family will not want to miss.  Check it out - the fun starts Friday!

The 3rd Annual PTO Carnival will take place November 3, at the Green Ridge School.

Some of the activities include: dinner, games and prizes, cake walk, bounce house, photo booth, live and silent auctions, and face painting. The PTO Carnival will be held from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. The live auction begins at 7:00 p.mAll proceeds will go towards school funding.

Anne Austin Pearce: Leaving Alone at the Daum Museum, November 4.

In her installation titled collectively Leaving Alone, Anne Austin Pearce links five separate artworks through a blending of literature, ecology, and aesthetics. She's constructed a collaborative and interactive setting where visitors are encouraged to create their own images from reproduced fragments of her compositions.  The exhibit is at the Daum Museum at State Fair Community College, 3201 W. 16th St. The Museum is open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Sedalia Rails Train Show at Convention Hall. 

Sedalia Rails Train Show will be on  November 4, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  Join the Pettis County Historical Society for their annual Sedalia Rails Train Show fundraiser! Toy trains and railroad memorabilia for sale, toy train layouts on display, and lots of fun for the whole family. The Liberty Park Flier train will be running (weather permitting). . Adult tickets are $5 each, children under 12 are free. Lunch will be available. All proceeds to benefit the Pettis Co. Museum. Liberty Park's Convention Hall is at 1500 W. Third St.

Witches United, a Junior Theater Production at the Liberty Center.

This fall's junior theater production is "Witches United". Tired of being wicked, the witches of Ritenburg have banded together to keep each other on the straight and narrow, but several strange events have people asking if they've gone back to their old ways. Find out what happens "when bad witches go good."  The show will be on November 4 from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and cost of admission is $10.00.  To get your tickets you can stop by 111 West 5th, or call (660) 827-3228.

Green Ridge Lord's Acre Dinner. 

A Lord’s Acre event will take place at the Green Ridge Rec Center on Saturday, November 4. A meal will be served from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The menu includes pulled pork, hot dogs, cheesy potatoes, green beans, dessert, and drink. The auction begins at 6:00 p.m. A free will offering will be taken for the meal. All donations are accepted.

Smithton Senior Class Hog Roast.

Come and help raise money for Project Graduation for the Class of 2018! The menu is Hog, green beans, cheesy hash browns, baked beans, dessert and beverage. Adults are $10, Ages 6 - 11 are $5 and 5 and under are free.  It'll be held on Saturday, November 4 at 4:00 PM - 8:00 p.m. at the Smithton High School, 505 S Myrtle Ave, Smithton.
