On Sunday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the WalMart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft in progress.

Officers made contact with two suspects, who attempted to steal items from the store.

Brandon E. Johnson, 38, of Springfield was arrested on charges of Stealing, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Burglary in the 1st Degree.

Tina M. Blunkall, 43, of Springfield, was arrested on charges of Stealing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Resisting Arrest, and Burglary in the 1st Degree.

Both Johnson and Blunkall were transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were placed on 24-hour holds.
