State Fair Community College will host a Military Appreciation night November 9 at the Roadrunners basketball game.

SFCC says active and retired military will be recognized  at the Roadrunners basketball game against Indian Hills Community College at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9.

The event takes place in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

All active and retired military with IDs & their families get free admission to the game, as well as free popcorn and soda, courtesy of the SFCC Booster Club.

The game is part of the new Iowa/Missouri Showcase series that SFCC is hosting this year. The showcase features eight teams: Southeastern Iowa, Missouri State University-West Plains, Marshalltown, Moberly, Indian Hills, Three Rivers, Iowa Western, and SFCC.

The games begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9. It was noted that mlitary personnel and families get free admission for all the games on the 9th.

Regular admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students ages 13 - 18. Children 12 and under and in-district residents 60 and older get in free.
