SFCC Softball Earns Academic Honors
The success in the classroom continues to pay off for the State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners softball program, as it received 13 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Student-athletes who earned academic honors were Kailei Allen, Paige Clines, Kennidi Harris, Makinzi Harris, Ava Hutchings, Tabitha Imhoff, Paige Klinge, Kailee Liles, Sami Picha, Charlee Reese, Kaycee Thompson, Kelsey Webb, and Jaelyn Winfrey.
Student-athletes must maintain a 3.5 or above grade point average to earn this prestigious honor from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
As a team, SFCC finished in a tie for 16th place among junior colleges with a team GPA of 3.59.
“I am so proud of the work these student-athletes did over the past academic year,” said SFCC Head Softball Coach Michele Rupard. “They were a very hard-working group and that showed in their academic success. We look forward to continuing our excellence in the classroom.”
