Don't worry, it's only a cautionary tale.

State Fair Community College's Theater Arts department is putting on a big musical this week.  Here's a little snippet about it.

State Fair Community College’s Theatre Arts program will present “Murder Ballad” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7-9 and 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre (Yeater 126) on the Sedalia campus. Admission is $5 per person; SFCC students and employees have free admission. Individuals 60 years old and above receive free admission at the 2 p.m. Oct. 10 performance.

The musical itself is pretty intriguing.  It's a story about love and betrayal and cheating and all sorts of intrigue.

It's a story basically about a woman who leaves a guy that's kinda dangerous, and settles into a normal life with a less exciting guy.  But after a while, she gets the itch to go back to the bad guy and does, but realizes she doesn't want that after all.  So a classic cheating story, right?  But there's a twist.  A heck of a twist. I won't ruin it.

So this is one you've gotta check out, because not only is it a good show, with great music, but these students have been working so hard to make it an amazing show.  And the studio theater there, if you've never been, is pretty impressive.  The people there are so nice, as well.  I did a guest appearance for a show once a few years ago, basically doing an impression of Skwisgaar Skwigelf  and they didn't even kick me out for it. So make your plans and head out to see the show this weekend!

Murderously yours,
Behka
