SFCC Clinton Campus Now Enrolling students for Practical Nursing program
State Fair Community College - Clinton (SFCC-Clinton) is now enrolling students for the Fall semester for Professional Certificate in Practical Nursing.
SFCC assumed sponsorship of the program in January, which was previously offered at Clinton Technical School. Representatives from the Clinton School District and State Fair Community College worked collaboratively to make this transition.
Students seeking to obtain their Professional Certificate in Practical Nursing should first apply and be accepted to SFCC, then complete the pre-program requirements before admission into the Year One program. Essential Qualifications can be reviewed at www.sfccmo.edu/academics-programs/essential-qualifications/. Seats are limited and based on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Additionally, the program is offered at the Sedalia and Eldon campus locations.
State Fair Community College’s nursing program has been recognized consistently as the state’s best by practicalnursing.org and registerednurse.org for six consecutive years. “We look forward to continuing this program, providing opportunity and meeting workforce needs, with the #1 Nursing program in Missouri,” said SFCC Year One Program Director Tara Weber.
Another advantage of moving the program from Clinton Technical School to SFCC- Clinton is the opportunity for advanced studies and degrees at SFCC. Students who earn their practical nursing credential at SFCC can continue into the associate of applied science in nursing program (RN component), which allows advanced placement for current LPNs and paramedics while remaining local.
