Sedalia Police continue to take reports of several vehicle-related thefts in the city.

On Tuesday (July 10), Sedalia Police responded to the parking lot at Fairview Nursing Home in regards to several unlocked vehicles that had been rummaged through. Items were reported missing, including several wallets.


On Monday (July 9), Sedalia Police responded to the 2200 block of W. 5th Street for a report of an unlocked truck that had items stolen from it. The items taken were a code scanner and a .22 Ruger pistol, with a combined value of $389.00. There are no suspects at this time.


On July 5, Sedalia Police took a report of a truck that had the passenger side window broken out. Two coin purses containing change had been taken. There were no further details listed in the report.

Authorities remind vehicle owners to always lock vehicles and remove valuable items from inside whenever possible.
