My dad was a hunter in Missouri and I was a kid in Missouri so you'd think I'd know more about the various hunting season. Breaking news: I don't. However, I have done some research and learned that it appears there are 4 critters you can hunt year-round in Missouri. Let me add a "probably" to that just in case.

My dad loved to go deer hunting back in the day and he would have loved to take me along on his Missouri hunting trips, but there was one problem. I don't have the heart to kill animals. I don't have anything at all against hunting. It's just not for me. I can also confirm that I am a professional meat eater and greatly enjoy what the hunters bring the rest of us.

I wanted to be clear about my lack of hunting expertise because this is a serious topic that can get you in legal problems with the state of Missouri if you're wrong about it. I got curious about whether or not there are creatures/critters/animals you can hunt year-round in Missouri outside of the typical deer and turkey hunting seasons. It appears there are. According to Newsmax, there are 4 critters that fall into the category of "always OK".

It's no secret that feral hogs are a big problem that keeps getting bigger in Missouri. I know that the state of Missouri has a program designed to get rid of these hogs. It appears they are game (literally) all year long.

This one should come with an asterisk. The Missouri Department of Conservation allows you to hunt coyotes year-round with one exception. The state says you can't hunt coyotes "during the daylight hours of Spring Turkey Season" in April. You can still technically hunt them those days, just not in the morning.

Pigeons fall under the category of "nuisance animals" while most other birds are protected.

Starlings are a pain and definitely are also "nuisance animals". Newsmax says you can take them down also throughout the year.
