Here's a look at some of the fun stuff happening this weekend. 

The 7th grade Sedalia Youth Football League Tigers are 4 & 1, facing undefeated Pleasant Hill for the regular season championship.

This Saturday’s game is at home at the new Smith-Cotton High School  and they need your support! Game time is 10:30, but feel free to come early and tailgate. Make it a Black & Gold Saturday!

Pancake Breakfast for Homecoming.

This will be held on  Saturday  October 13, 7:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m. at the Smith-Cotton Junior High, 312 E. Broadway.   Tickets, $5 each.  Call the Foundation office to pre-order tickets, which can be paid at the door, or buy from a Foundation Board Member.  There will be entertainment from   “Future Alumni” Students of Heber Hunt, Skyline, Parkview.  The  Junior High Vocal & Instrumental groups will also perform.  The campus will be open for tours, from 7:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m.  The new  Smith-Cotton High School,  at 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd will also be open for tours, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The Full Circle Motorcyle Association will have their Dirt Drags.

It’ll be held at the State Fair Arena on the Missouri State Fairgrounds on October 13.  Take Clarendon road, at Gate 10.   Sign in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adult admission is $10, kids 13-16 are $5 and children 12 and under are admitted free.  There will be a $10 entry fee for all participants in the dirt drags.  Rodeo includes a barrel race, potato in the hay stack, a keg throw, slow ride, plank ride weenie bite and  the “honey, I’m home”.   The event will be put on in the memory for Mike Naylor.  FCMA is a non profit organization, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies.   The rain date for this event will be October 27.  For more information, visit http://www.fcmabiker.com/

Boy Scout Troop #34 presents  Haunted Trails, Saturday, October 13. 

The trails will open at 8:00 p.m.  The cost of the event is $5 and is recommended for ages eight and up.  All proceeds will benefit the Boy Scout Troop #34.  The Haunted Trails are located at the Reinhardt Jajen Nature Trail in MK White Park behind the Corner Gardens on Main Street in Warsaw.

All former employees of Fantasia/Multifoods/JM Smucker/Best Brands/CSM are invited to attend a picnic on Saturday, October 13.

It will be held in Shelter 1 at Centennial Park at 1 p.m.  Bring sandwiches and a dish to share and bring your own table service, along with drinks for you and your family. It’ll be a time to renew friendships and share memories.

Homeruns for Owen, a Men’s softball tournament will raise money for Owen’s autism assistance dog.

It will take place Saturday October 13 at Centennial Park.  It costs a $125 per team (must be paid before the first game), with a 4 game guarantee   Supply your own balls (44 core 375 compression), ASA bats.  To register, contact Adam at 660-287-7991 or Landon at 660-329-1854.  All proceeds go to Owen Thomas.

The Sacred Heart Bazaar will take place October 13 and 14 at the Sacred Heart School.

Events for Saturday include a 5k walk/run and kids fun run at 8 a.m.  The check in will be from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in front of the school.  The entry fee is $30 before September 30, and includes a t-shirt.  After September 30 to the race day, the entry fee is $35.  The kids fun run will be held after the 5k awards.  That is a $10 entry fee, includes a t-shirt and a ribbon.  For more information, call Carrie at 660-287-3113.

At 3 p.m there will be a Texas Hold Em Tournament.  Check in is at 2:30 p.m.  You  must be 21 to enter.  Entry fee is $40, with a one time buy back in for $40.  Cash prizes will be available.  For more information, call Bryan at 660-221-5034.

From 4-7 p.m. there will be a fried chicken and smoked brisket dinner with all the trimmings, including dessert.  Advance tickets are $10, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and five year olds and under eat for free.  Advance tickets are available at the rectory.  Tickets at the door cost $2 more.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be an auction.  They’ll have lots of great items, including furniture, handmade quilts, gift certificates and more.  Silent auction will run from 4 to 9 p.m.  It’ll be held in the High School Gym.  Babysitting is provided from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  The craft booth will be open.  A complete list of items is at Facebook.com/sacredheart.bazaar.3.

Events for Sunday, October 14 include:  carnival games, a country store, craft booth, bingo, cake walk,  and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The silent auction will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym.
