On Saturday at 11:11 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Warren on a vehicle with no license plates and improper lane usage.

The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs, and methamphetamine was located in her car. She also had methamphetamine concealed on her person, and attempted to dispose of it in the back of the patrol car, but was unsuccessful. She also introduced a controlled substance (meth) into the police station.

In addition, 43-year-old April Diane Norman of Sedalia, refused to provide a blood sample, and a search warrant was obtained to collect it. She also assaulted two law enforcement officers during the collection.

Norman was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of state charges of DWI by Drugs, and felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Tampering With Evidence, Introduction of drugs to a Jail Facility (SPD), and two counts 3rd Degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
