Sedalia Police Reports for July 25, 2023

Monday evening, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West Saline Street and North Summit Avenue. On-scene investigation resulted in license plates being seized from the vehicle. The vehicle's plates were returned to the DOR as they were illegally displayed.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Westwood Avenue in reference to an identity theft report Monday morning. Nicole McDoodle stated that during a fake hiring process, the suspects used the information to file a fraudulent tax return.
Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of West 5th Street in reference to a found property report Monday morning. Amy Furrey turned in a Fed Ex package with the contents after it was found in the street.
