Sedalia Police Reports for August 31, 2021

On Tuesday at 4:25 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a truck at 15th and Missouri that was driving on the wrong side of the road. A DOR check revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. 49-year-old Rosalio Cervantes Galvan of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold, and charged with felony driving without a valid license.
On Monday at 7:36 p.m., Sedalia Police took a harassment report in the lobby. The complainant said she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend on Albright Court. After completion of an investigation, charges were being sought.
On Monday at 7:50 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of McAnally Court for a report of a violation of a court order. The victim reported being assaulted and her phone taken away from her and damaged by a subject known to her. The suspect was not located, but charges of 4th degree Domestic Assault, Violation of a Court Order and 2nd degree Property Damage were being requested.
On Monday around 6 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 2700 block of West Broadway for a report of a suicidal subject. Officers made contact with the cooperative subject, who wished to seek treatment. The subject was in possession of a large knife that was taken by the officers for safe keeping. The subject was then transported by PCAD for treatment.
On Tuesday at 1:36 a.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 7th and Mildred. During investigation, it was discovered that 32-year-old Lindsey R. Keeling of Sedalia was wanted on six Municipal warrants. Keeling was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a total bond amount of $584 cash only. Keeling now has a Sept. 6 court date.
On Monday at 12 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a red Dodge pickup for speeding and no registration near Grand and Pettis. The driver, 22-year-old Jon A.W. Norton of Tunas, Mo., was wanted on a Johnson County warrant for animals running at large with a $150 cash bond. Norton was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On Monday at 11:02 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1800 block of East 6th after a caller said they saw someone they were not familiar with, carrying a ladder around the residence. Upon officer arrival, the subject took off running on foot. She was stopped a short time later, and detained. It was later determined she was allowed to be at the residence and was subsequently released.
