Thursday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 11th Street in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, who said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The victim also stated the suspect broke multiple items of hers, with a total value of $1,050.00. In addition, the suspect also damaged the residence they reside in together. The suspect was not located. A request for the charges of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree and Property Damage in the 1st Degree has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Friday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 6th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. Contraband was located in the vehicle and seized for destruction. The driver, who was not named in the report, was released with a warning.


 

On the night of August 14th, Officers were dispatched to the Broadway Car Wash, 2618 East Broadway Boulevard. Colton D. Lowe reported a property damage incident. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop in the area of South Emmet Avenue and East 7th Street Thursday night. Officers made contact with the driver, and ran his information though Dispatch. It was discovered the driver's Missouri license was suspended. Richard B. Waters, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Waters was taken to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was fingerprinted and given a citation with a court date.


 

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the JC Penney store, 3159 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday evening. Officers made contact with an adult male who stated his juvenile son assaulted him in the parking lot. He also stated the juvenile had damaged some of his property. The juvenile left the scene on foot before Officers arrived. The juvenile was entered as a runaway and a referral will be completed. Three hours later, the juvenile returned home and was taken off the missing person list.


 

On the evening of August 13th, Officers responded to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a violation of a court order. A violation of a full order of protection was committed in the 1300 block of South Grand Avenue. Officers spoke with the victim, and a report was completed.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue to investigate a reported suicidal subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suicidal subject. The subject admitted that they wished to harm themselves. The subject asked voluntarily to be taken to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The subject was transported to the hospital by PCAD.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Tractor Supply Company, 3901 West Broadway Boulevard, Wednesday morning for a report of theft. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the caller, who stated sometime overnight someone stole two trailers and a grill. The total value of the items was estimated at $7,616.42.

Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to World Finance, 809 South Thompson Boulevard in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim, who stated her 2016 Chevrolet was struck while parked on the private lot. The striking vehicle left without providing information. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been identified.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, for a report of failure to return rental property Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller, who stated a subject rented a sander on June 6th. The caller stated the subject was to return the sander the next day, and has yet to return it. The sander is valued at $2,799.99.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of East 7th Street and South Lamine Avenue Thursday afternoon. Soila R. Reyna, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Reyna also had a warrant for her arrest from Butler County on felony charges of Fraud. Reyna was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $5,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Thursday morning, Officers with the Sedalia Police Department, the Sedalia Fire Department, and the Pettis County Ambulance were dispatched to the 400 block of North Quincy Avenue in reference to an intentional overdose. The patient was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment after taking a larger amount of their prescription medication intentionally.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers conducted a subject check in the 500 block of North Grand Avenue. Officers were looking for a subject with a warrant for their arrest. Officers made contact with the subject. Christopher M. Holman, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Pettis County warrant on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Holman was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $7,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday morning. Officers made contact with a subject, who had a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant for their arrest. Jesse L. Rubio, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested for his FTA warrant on original charges of Speeding (20-25 MPH Over the Posted Limit), Driving While Suspended, No Insurance, and Failure to Display License Plates. Rubio was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in with a $2500 cash or surety bond.


 

Wednesday evening, while on patrol in the area of East 24th Street and South Ingram Avenue, Officers observed a suspect vehicle travelling westbound on East 24th Street. The rear license plate of the vehicle was covered with a tinted license plate cover, making the license plate unreadable until the Officer pulled up right behind it. Once Officers were able to read the license plate, a computer response came back as the license plate was not on file. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near East 17th Street and South Washington Avenue. After checking the driver's information, Dispatch advised the driver's operator status was revoked. Steven N. Hensley, 39, of Sedalia, was issued a city summons for Driving While Revoked. A valid driver arrived on the scene to drive the vehicle.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers observed a white truck failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted on it at Thompson Boulevard near West 10th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Jay Hahn, 37, of Jefferson City, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was conducted. Hahn was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. Charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Tampering With Physical Evidence have been submitted to the prosecutor.
