Sedalia Police Investigate Rape Near Katy Trail

Yesterday afternoon (June 14), Sedalia Police received a report that a male suspect armed with a knife had raped a woman near the Katy Trail in the 2300 Block of Clinton Road.  A subsequent investigation revealed the suspect as 43-year-old Ronald Greer.

On the night of June 14 at 9:49 p.m, Greer was located in the Centennial Park. Greer fled on foot and was caught in a nearby field and placed under arrest. Greer also had an active warrant for a parole violation.

Greer was transported to the Pettis County Jail and held without bond for a parole violation warrant. Charges of rape, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and stalking are being sought for Greer.
