Sedalia Middle School Custodian Mosier Retires after 23 Years
A surprise retirement party was held on Wednesday for longtime Sedalia School District 200 custodian Jeanie Mosier.
Mosier has worked for the Sedalia 200 district for over 23 years and will retire this Friday (Oct 6).
She was surprised Wednesday afternoon with a retirement celebration at Sedalia Middle School. Mosier has been with the district since July 1994, when she was hired for a position at Smith-Cotton High School.
She transferred to Sedalia Middle School in 2005 and became the building's head custodian in 2010.
The school district says, that during Wednesday's gathering in the SMS library, which was packed with current and former co-workers, friends and family members, Mosier was praised for her work ethic, sense of humor and advocacy for the school's special needs students. Staff members said they will miss her humorous stories and "the jingle of her keys going down the hallway."
