The Salvation Army of Sedalia is hosting a youth night on Friday, Jan. 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  When I was a kid, I bet you'd say I was pretty boring.  I hung out in my room (I had the attic room, totally mod), listened to the radio and read books.  I didn't have a computer or a cell phone or anything like that, and as a consequence I guess I didn't get out much.  I socialized and stuff, but mostly it was through school stuff with friends or in after school extracurriculars.  I was pretty active with my church and our game nights and such, too.

Nowadays there are so many ways for kids to get in trouble!  In my day you had to do something really wrong or crazy.  These kids just have to type the wrong thing on their laptop and bam, Trouble City.  So I think it's important for us adults out there to offer plenty of things for the kids to do that won't necessarily end up in Trouble City.

There is an option out there for them this weekend where they can chill amongst themselves (parents are totally lame, right) and it won't cost anything. Youthly yours,
Behka
