Sacred Heart High School Volleyball hosted Sweet Springs, Thursday, Sept. 9 at home.

Sacred Heart honored their three seniors after the JV match.

Sacred Heart Junior Varsity lost to Sweet Springs in two sets 24-26, 11-25, bringing their record to 1-2.

Sacred Heart Varsity beat Sweet Springs in three sets 25-15, 25-7, 25-10.

“Serving and mental focus hurt us in the first set, but serving became our strength in sets two and three,” commented head coach Marlo Siron.

Junior Emily McDonald had five aces followed by three aces from sophomore Mariana Restrepo.

Junior Kiley Beykirch led the team in assists and sophomore Emma Siron had 14 kills.  Senior Maria Mergen was an asset on both offense and defense with 5 Kills and 11 defensive digs.

Varsity record is now 4-0 for the season.

Both teams play at home vs. Hickman on Monday, Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
