City of Sedalia contractors continue working to make improvements to the City’s water distribution system.

The following streets will be affected by the installation of water mains and service lines during the next week.

 W. 3rd St. at its’ intersection with S. Park Ave. will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Mon. Apr. 5 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m. on Tues., Apr. 6, 2021.
 W. 3rd St. at its' intersection with S. Stewart Ave. will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tues. Apr. 6 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m. on Wed., Apr. 7, 2021.
*E. 4th St. just east of its’ intersection with S. Eng. Ave. will be restricted to one lane of traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Mon. Apr. 5 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m.
 E. 5th St. just east of its’ intersection with S. Eng. Ave. will be restricted to one lane of traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tues. Apr. 6 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m.
 E. 5th St. at its’ intersection with S. Summit Ave. will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wed. Apr. 7 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m.
 E. 4th St. at its’ intersection with S. Summit Ave. will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Thurs. Apr. 8 and will re-open at 5:00 p.m.

Travelers in these areas are encouraged to plan for use of alternate routes during this period to avoid delays.

The City apologized for any inconvenience these road closures and lane restrictions may cause as they work to improve the water utility services in these areas. This work is weather and equipment dependent and the re-opening dates may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
