On Thursday night at 11:23 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Highway 52 for a residential burglary alarm.

Shortly after the alarm call to dispatch from Vivint Alarm Company, dispatch received a call from the homeowner stating that someone had entered the home through the front door.

Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the homeowner, who said when he heard a loud noise and then the alarm, he came out of his bedroom and saw a larger male standing inside the front door entrance to his house.

The male was described as 6' 4” with a larger build. The homeowner said the male had a black hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head and a white mask covering his face.

Deputy Moore and K9 Cav were called to the scene and they tracked the suspects to an open field to the east of the address, then lost the track.

The front door was damaged when one of the suspects heel-kicked the door, gaining entry to the home. The estimated damage to the door is about $100.
