Ready To Go Snowtubing, Sledding or Skiing?
I'm trying to think how many winters we've had in the last dozen years or so that we had any huge amounts of snow. You know, the type of snowfall that you have to dig out your driveway to get the car out of the garage or you have to clear out a path just to find your vehicle.
Usually, when we have those types of snows, the kids are bundling up (or not), grabbing their sleds or discs and heading to their favorite spots to have some outdoor winter fun. But what if you were able to drive somewhere where you didn't have to battle drifts as high as your car. You could pull right up in the parking lot without tromping through 6-8 inches of snow to get to your spot to have fun? Well, we might have the answer for you.
You can take part in a day or night of winter fun on Missouri's largest snowtubing park. Hidden Valley in Eureka boasts theirs is the largest snowtubing park in Missouri with 16 lanes. So whether your pleasure is snowboarding, skiing or sledding this could be the spot to visit this winter.
The park is only open Friday through Sunday. They offer two hour sessions but you can book back-to-back sessions. So if you're thinking about going you'll need to book the sessions early as the slots fill up quickly.
Now for those of us in central Missouri, it's going to take about three hours to get there so it's either going to be a long daytrip or a mini vacay. Whichever it may be for you and the family, it's definitely worth checking out.
