Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for July 29, 2021
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
On Wednesday, July 28 at 1:36 a.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the 3500 block of South Grand for a robbery report. The victim told Deputies he was assaulted by three males and then a pistol was pointed in his face. Pettis County Deputies arrested Calvin L. Waller and two juveniles. They were transported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office. Deputies requested charges of 1st Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Assault and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Waller was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges.
On Tuesday, July 27, Pettis County Deputies and the K9 Unit were dispatched to the 6600 block of US 50 for a domestic assault no longer in progress. Pettis County Deputies arrested Victor E. Turley of the residence, for 4th Degree Domestic Assault. During the investigation, drug-related items were seized and will be destroyed.
On Monday, July 26 at 4:53 a.m., the Pettis County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls concerning a wrong-way driver on Highway 65 who was northbound in the southbound lanes. Pettis County Deputies, along with the K9 Unit, responded to the area to locate the driver. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle before a serious accident happened. The driver, who was identified as Ismar Duenas of Marshall, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, driving while intoxicated and was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from Homeland Security. Duenas was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
On Sunday, July 25 at 8:20 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy took a report at the Bothwell Regional Health Center's Emergency Department concerning a subject who was shot in the foot. Investigation determined that the incident happened somewhere on M Highway and that the reporting person accidentally shot himself in the foot.
On July 25 at 6 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the area of 20000 Pemberton for a property damage report. Investigation is on-going.
On Saturday, July 24, a Pettis County Deputy responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center's Emergency Department to take an assault report. The reporting party stated she was assaulted by a person known to her.
On Saturday, July 24 at 5:30 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the area of Elm Hills Boulevard and South Park on an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently towed from the area by State Fair Towing.
On Saturday, July 24 at 4:50 p.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop on US 50 and Buckley Road. A search of the vehicle yielded a little over 19 grams of marijuana, along with a pipe and grinder. Ross Lagis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On July 24, Pettis County Deputies took a theft report in the 25000 block of Route HH, reference items taken from a storage building.
On Thursday, July 22 at 5:50 p.m., Pettis County Deputies took a phone report in reference to a stolen Bobcat on Highway M. Investigation is on-going.
