
2025 Smithton Town & Country Fair Details Listed
The 2025 Town & Country Fair will begin with the Miss Pettis County contest at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 10 at Smithton High School.
Keely Elwell, 19, of La Monte, was crowned the 2024 Miss Pettis County Queen at the Smithton Town & County Fair on July 11, 2024.
Contestants vying for Missouri Pettis County must be between the ages of 17 and 22. Interviews and rehearsals for the contest are taking place today, Wednesday, July 9.
On Pageant Day, Thursday July 10, contestants will be introduced to the judges, then compete in talent, evening gown, a Q & A session on stage, and then the winner will be crowned. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
There will also be a Little Miss Pettis County and Pettis County Princess contest as well.
The Princess contest is for those ages 11-16, while the Little Miss contest is for those ages 5-10.

Miss Pettis County will go on to compete at the Missouri State Fair Aug. 7.
On Friday, a variety of activities are planned, including:
4 p.m. – Art show entries are to be turned in
5 p.m. – Auto show
5 p.m. – Show Choir
6:30 p.m. – Parade
7 p.m. – Petting Zoo opens
7 p.m. – Bounce Houses open
7 p.m. – Chicken Catch contest
7:30 p.m. – Pedal Pull contest
7:30 p.m. – Adult and Tween Games begin
7:30 p.m. – Corn On The Cob Eating contest
7 p.m. -- Fred Kennedy performance
9 p.m. – DJ Tarl Bentley
On Saturday, the following activities are planned:
8 a.m. – Livestock Show
8 a.m. – BBQ Contest begins
11 a.m. – Cornhole Tournament begins
2:30 p.m. – Poker Run begins
2 p.m. – Wine & Bingo
4:30 p.m. – Pies need to be turned in
4 p.m. – Auditions for Smithton Idol
5 p.m. – Baby Contest
6 p.m. – Husband Calling Contest
6:30 p.m. – Chicken Catch
6:30 p.m. – Human Pull
6:45 p.m. – Smiththon Idol Finalists perform
6:45 p.m. -- Art Awards will be presented
