The Kansas City Zoo offers overnight stays where you and up to ten friends can spend the night inside the zoo. You’ll get to choose from three different options, depending on the type of experience you want to have.

Where You Can Sleep at the Kansas City Zoo

The first option lets you stay indoors at the Helzberg Penguin Plaza (my personal pick, although it might be a little chilly), Polar Bear Passage, or the Sobela Ocean Aquarium. All of these options let you experience the zoo after hours while staying cozy inside.

You can also camp outside at the zoo’s African Campground or Outback Campground for a true overnight adventure under the stars. Finally, you can choose to stay at the zoo’s massive aquarium, where you can spend the night surrounded by the ocean’s wonders.

This overnight adventure includes a guided night hike through the zoo and a movie to end the evening. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and other activities to enjoy during their stay.
