Pettis County Deputies Bust Suspected Meth Trafficking Operation; Two Arrested

In the beginning of December of 2021, the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, along with the Sedalia Police Department and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force, joined together in a month-long investigation on Christopher Lee Hill, aged 39. Hill resides in the 1500 block of Crestview Drive in Pettis County. During the investigation, Detectives gathered enough information to execute a search warrant on the residence.
On the night of January 5th, Pettis County Deputies, Sedalia Police Officers, the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force, and the Pettis County K9 Unit, with assists from the Johnson County Sheriff's Department and the Warrensburg Police Department SWAT team conducted a no-knock search warrant on Hill. Hill and Jamie L. King, aged 26, were arrested inside the residence without incident. During the search of the residence, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine was located with a weight of approximately 354 grams. Also seized were several firearms, one of which was reported stolen out of the Cooper County Sheriff's Office.
At this time, Detectives are requesting charges of Trafficking of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Stealing on Hill. Charges of Trafficking of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Stealing are being requested against King.
