I heard that the people who are poorest and need it most got their Corona Stimulus money first.  I guess that would explain why I've already got mine.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not like, destitute, but... yeah.  You don't do radio for the money, trust me.  And yep, we got ours in the bank right now as we speak.  But the thing is, this looks like a big chunk of change to me. I mean, I know it isn't in the grand scheme of things, but you know how it is.

So I don't want to go nuts and just blow it willy nilly.  I guess I have to treat it like I treat my tax refund, huh.

Of course, if  I were more cavalier, I'd go and buy myself a Nintendo Switch or something.  Or  maybe a new laptop. I guess I could use some new shoes, I've been wearing these for years now.  But no, that's all non essential stuff, stuff I can live without, so I'm going to live without.

I'm the financial planner of the household, so I have to be responsible. I can't just blow it all on booze and pizza.  Well. Maybe a little bit can go to booze and pizza, but not all of it. So even though I'm tempted to go and do something silly with it, I'm not.  I'm going to save about half of it (I'm already thinking about making sure I have savings left after next year's taxes/house insurance), spend the other half on bills, and leave a little back in the coffer just to make sure the checking account is happy as well.

Congratulations, credit card, hospital, and utility bills, you will all be fed this day.

What are you doing with your stimulus money?  Are you being careful with it, or just letting it go?  Or have you not even gotten yours yet? What do you WISH you could do with it, but just can't?

Stimulatingly yours,
Behka
