Motorcycle Accident Injures Versailles Man

A Versailles man was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Morgan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Tyler M. Stewart of Versailles, was the driver of an eastbound 2007 Yamaha R1 on Anchorage Road, 140 feet west of Hill Road at 4:48 p.m., when the motorcycle traveled off the south edge of the roadway, struck a barbed wire fence and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Stewart suffered serious injuries, and was flown by MU Air to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Yamaha was totaled.
