A Stover teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2003 Nissan Xterra, driven by a 17-year-old female from Stover, was on Route WW, .82 mile south of Route T around 12:45 p.m., when the Nissan traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle then traveled off the left side and struck a tree.

The female suffered serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Mid-Mo Ambulance. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Nissan was totaled and towed by Whan's Towing.

Morgan County Deputies assisted the Troopers on scene.
