Missouri Ranks Seventh in an Unfortunate Top 10

Whenever I see a list that Missouri ranks in, I always pay close attention. Of course, when we rank seventh in the states that had the highest dollar amount of damage from natural disasters in the last decade, it sends up a red flag.  Louisiana ranked number 1.  Here's the full top 10 list:

3. Texas
4. Mississippi
5. Alabama
6. Tennessee
7. Missouri
8. Oklahoma
9. Ohio
10. Illinois

In the study done by Kiplinger.com, Missouri is credited with one hurricane (I'm assuming Katrina), nine blizzards and 46 other storms for $6.2 billion in damages in the last 10 years. With that in mind, I would like remind you to be ready.  Find my tornado preparedness tips here.
