Missouri Highway Patrol Teen Cop Camp Accepting Applications
If you have a teenager aged 16-18 whose interested in a career in law enforcement the Missouri State Highway Patrol has a camp just for them.
It's the 2022 Youth Academy Program taking place at Camp Mihaska in Bourbon from Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 31. Cadets in the program will spend four days at the camp facility and experience different jobs members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol execute daily.
Jobs like Patrol Trooper, K-9 Detective, Pilot, Water Patrol, and other support roles. Cadets will also learn what it takes to become a law enforcement officer and get a taste of what it's like to train for a career in law enforcement.
Requirements to be accepted into the program include having an interest in a law enforcement career. Prospective cadets must be between the ages of 16-18 and be in high school. And cadets must be in good physical condition, cable of enduring aerobic running and daily physical fitness activities requiring a reasonable fitness level.
