The Hannibal Pirates aim to finish their conference schedule strong on the road in Marshall Friday night. The Pirates are coming off a rugged win over Moberly 56-18 and are 3-1 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

Hannibal is averaging over 42 points and allowing just under 9 per game in conference play. Does 42-9 sound like a possible final? Maybe.

Marshall is coming off their lone win of the season to this point, a 42-35 win over Fulton. Fulton was the first school NOT to score at least 40 points against the Owl defense this season. The Pirates should achieve 40 plus points. Waylon Anders, Darrion Washington, Mike Ferreira and Landyn Essig will carry the bulk of the offensive load.

Hannibal’s defense will be looking to dominate the Owls on their own field. A shutout may be too much to ask with Marshall finally getting the feeling of offensive success last week.

Moberly beat Marshall 42-8 a couple weeks ago. Marshall may very well score more than that Friday but the Pirates will probably put up more than 42.
