Wanna Celebrate the Eclipse in April? Missouri Has a Big Festival
You won't have another chance to do this in your lifetime. Missouri is having a big festival to celebrate the historic total solar eclipse in April and it looks like it will be almost a week of parties.

In case you aren't aware, there will be a total solar eclipse that will reach totality over Missouri on April 8, 2024. As this wildly complicated NASA map shows, this will be the last chance to see a total solar eclipse over Missouri for the next few decades.
Great American Eclipse shows the path of totality will cross over the southern part of Missouri.
Blackwell, Missouri has decided to take this once-in-a-lifetime event and make a festival out of it with the Missouri Eclipse Festival which will begin on April 5, 2024 and run through the day after totality on April 9, 2024. They say this about the festival location:
Explore over 200 acres of lush grounds including 2 natural springs, a pond, breathtaking bluffs, private access to Mill Creek, countless trails, hidden arrowheads and home of Hawk's Bluff Crazy Lace Agate and druzy rocks.
This is not a free festival though. A 4-day festival pass will cost you $275 (as of this writing) although it looks like they offer payment plans with $69 down. There appear to be glamping options, too, if you would like to experience the eclipse in a natural, but fancy way.
There is another option. They appear to have a volunteer option which will only cost you $75, but you get festival access along with your work.
