Bike Trail Across Missouri Just Voted Among Best in the Nation
An argument could be made that this is the best thing you can possibly do in Missouri for an adventure. The bike trail that crosses the state of Missouri has just been voted among the best in the nation and it truly deserves the honor.
Once upon a time, I rode my bicycle a lot growing up in Missouri. Now, I have been delegated as a spectator writing about other people riding bikes. Life is weird. What is not weird is a Missouri bike trail being honored with a designation as one of the best bike trails in America as voted by the readers of USA Today.
What bike trail in Missouri was voted one of America's best?
It's the Katy Trail, of course, which is one of Missouri's best experiences. It's 240 miles-long (or 239 miles if you check the official website) and has 26 trailheads which means it's easily accessible from just about any place in the central part of the state. You can tackle the Katy Trail in bits and pieces for just a one day or weekend adventure or you can attempt to traverse the entire 240 mile distance all the way across Missouri. Once in my life, I'd love to do that. Somehow I figure that will remain a daydream and not reality, but it's a great daydream.
