Lake of the Ozarks Bar Cancels Two Popular Summer Events
Lake News Online is reporting the the Dog Days Bar & Grill on Lake of the Ozarks has cancelled two popular summer events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mark Barrett, owner of Dog Days Bar & Grill announced on his Facebook page that Aquapalooza and the White Party have been cancelled this year:
This is a rough one. Unfortunately we are canceling two of our favorite events the White Party and Aquapalooza. Please help me get the word out. I sincerely apologize to my friends and customers who have made plans regarding these events.
Lake Expo talked to the Dog Days Bar & Grill General Manager Luke Hagedorn who provided the outlet with some context for the cancellations. Hagedorn told Lake Expo Aquapalooza, scheduled for July 18, was cancelled out of consideration for attendee safety and to give the bands scheduled to play an opportunity to play somewhere else that day.
As for the White Party (named that because everyone wears white to the party) scheduled for next week. Hagedorn told Lake Expo the party is popular with food service industry personnel so a concern arose that a potential exposure to the coronavirus at that party could shut down a large percentage of the bars and restaurants.
If you were planning on attending either of those two big events at the Lake this summer, don't let it bum you out too badly. Many bars and restaurants are open for business and there seems to be no shortage of things to do.
