If you're looking for a different way to celebrate Halloween with your kids this year, Science City at Union Station in Kansas City might just have the morning or afternoon of fun you're looking for. Science City is presenting five days of Halloween fun from Wednesday October 28 through Sunday November 1.

What can your family expect when you head to the Spooktacular MASKarade at Science City? There's a spooky scavenger hunt where you need to find things hidden around Science City. You'll learn about electricity as you control a Halloween light display using pumpkins. You'll use sound waves to make Oobleck dance. You can make a "boo-tiful mask lanyard and more.

Additionally you can check out the Mad Science Stage Show at 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM CST. As well as build your own corny maze.

There is a morning and an afternoon session each day. The morning session runs from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM CST and the afternoon session runs from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM CST. The cost of the Spooktacular MASKarade is covered by your normal admission to Science City and covers not only the Spooktacular MASKarade activities but all the usual Science City exhibits. General Admission tickets to Science City are $14.00 per person.

Science City reminds guests that masks/face coverings  that cover the nose and mouth  are required in Union Station and Science City for all guests over three years of age. Exceptions are made for individuals who cannot wear a face condition due to a medical condition.

This sounds like a fun, different way to celebrate Halloween. And if your kids aren't careful, they just might learn a little bit about science.
