Attendance was good and so was the weather Saturday for Pettis County MU Extension’s 14th annual dinner and auction, held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3700 West Broadway.

David Dick, a member of the Pettis County University Extension Council, said that this is a major fund-raiser fore Extension, including a dinner, silent auction and live auction.

The funds raised “supplements the program, whether it’s 4-H or Master Gardner,” Dick said. “There’s lots of programs because there’s lots of different interests.”

Dick added that there was not necessarily a monetary goal for the event, but “if we see a need, we can fund the need,” he explained.

Over 300 people came through the food line Saturday afternoon.

“We sure enjoy seeing the folks. We’ve had a lot of success doing this. It’s a little old fashioned, and little simple, but it’s fun,” Dick concluded.

Johnson Auction Service was in charge of the live auction.
