As you may or may not know, pizza is delicious. As you also may or may not know, pizza is not normally a food that can be prepared instantly. UNTIL NOW.Well, in fairness, it's been a thing for a few months now.  I think I might have vaguely heard about it and then just tucked it away in the recesses of my smooth, smooth brain until I forgot about it.  So when a listener who DOESN'T live under a rock asked me about it, I thought, "Huh?"

It was a really intellectual talk with myself.  Like I said, smooth brain.

So anyway, yes, if you didn't know, there is literally a vending machine that will sell you delicious, fresh pizza in Marshall. You could be forgiven for not seeing it if you are a casual visitor to Marshall - it's on the Missouri Valley Campus.  Right outside the Burns Gymnasium.  Basically you can use the Smart Pizza app, or you can choose one at the site.  You push the buttons, Mekka-lekka-hi, Mekka-hiney-ho, and three minutes later, PIZZA.

From what I gather, the machine is run by Liz and her staff over at Catalpa in Arrow Rock. Ellis supervises, but he's a bit busy at the moment with preschool. They make the pizzas, drive 'em over to the machine, and the rest is up to you. I hear it can store almost a hundred pizzas in that thing. And don't worry, the whole thing is temperature controlled. So it stays cool until you cook it. Well, you can ask the machine to cook it, or you can take it home and cook it there.

And, well, I heard some scuttlebutt. I don't normally receive scuttlebutt, you guys. Not because I don't want it, but because I think people think I already know stuff? I mean, I do, kind of. But I think I need to make it clear that I must be on the forefront of any and all pizza scuttlebutt going forward. So in the interest of keeping up my end of said scuttlebutt, I can tell you.... there's going to be one coming to Sedalia, too. Now, we don't know much yet, like when or where. I know, I know. You're probably saying to yourself, "Some scuttlebutt THAT is!" But, it is reliable scuttlebutt, ya'll. It's coming. Coming to Sedalia soon. But the machine has to come from France first.

You know I'll be ready and waiting. Maybe not camped out, but that's only because I hate camping, not because I hate pizza.

What do you think? Have you tried Lot-Za pizza yet down in Marshall? Would you want one to come here to Sedalia?

Scuttlebuttingly yours,
Behka
