You really do spend your life staring at a tiny screen in your hand. A new study found the average person checks their phone 103 times a day. Every day. That's approximately once every nine minutes you're awake.

I guess I never really thought about it, but we do check our cell phones pretty often, don't we? I know I use mine as an alarm at the very least, and I keep it in the studio or at least near my laptop throughout the work day.

When I get home, I don't check it constantly. I have it nearby enough that I can hear the alert if I get a text or a call, but I don't have it in my pajamas or anything. That might also be because I don't use the cell phone for much other than texts and calls. I don't have a super mega fancy smart phone. It does what I need and not much else. But for those of you who do, I guess maybe that's different.

The study also found 70 percent of people say the first thing they do in the morning and last thing they do at night is check their phone. So I gotta ask you guys, how often do you check your phone? Fill out our poll let us know!

Communicatively yours,
Behka
