A Holden woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2012 Chevy Tahoe, driven by 44-year-old Julie M. Huston of Holden, was on Missouri 2, 15 feet east of County Road SW 1931 (LaTour) around 11:30 a.m., when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and struck several trees.

Huston was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:53 p.m., by Johnson County Deputy Coroner Noah Harness. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Tahoe was totaled.
